I walked into CVS today with $10 ECBS and a few dollars in my wallet.  I walked out with $16.98 in ECBs and $134.16 worth of products (at pre-sale prices).  Here's how I did it--

Transaction #1

  • 2 Herbal Essence shampoos - 2/$5 (on sale, usually $4.29 each)
  • Airwick Freshmatic Mini - $4.99 (on sale, usually $9.99)
  • 6x8 10pg Hardcover Kodak photobook - $7.99 (on sale, usually $12.99)
  • 4x6 10pg Hardcover Kodak photobook - $3.99 (on sale, usually $7.99)
  • 2 CVS 22ct pantiliners - .99 each

Coupons used--

  • CVS $3 off any $15 purchase
  • $3 off the purchase of 2 Herbal Essence products (July (P&G)
  • $3 off Kodak photobook, 6x8 or larger size (6/8 SS)
  • $4 off Airwick Freshmatic Mini
  • $10 in ECBs

Total after coupons: .95, pre-tax

Got back $7.99, $3.99, and $1.98 in ECBs

Transaction #4 (had to go to another CVS because I wiped out the Airwick stock on the first one!)

  • CVS face cleansing wipes, makeup remover - $2.99

Total ECBs spent: $18.95

Total coupon savings: $55.77

Total OOP: $2.76

This totally makes up for my Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad day on Monday!  I have another ExtraCare card (my old one from school that I thought I'd lost but then found again) and tons more coupons, so I may do it all over again tomorrow.

Wow! I so totally need to come shopping with you. I've been wanting to try the airwick things for the kids bathroom, just can't afford them. I do use some coupons but I don't really shop except to buy the basics and those are the cheapest on the market. :) Good Deal!!
